Th Lexmoto ZSX is now available in both Red & Black for collection or nationwide delivery, it is displayed in our huge showroom situated in Blackburn, Lancashire. Read on to find out why this new motorcycle is making such a mark!

Earlier this year the Lexmoto ZSX was released. If you are a fan of the Lexmoto Facebook page or ours, then you would have seen that the majority of posts have been related to this new model. There seems to be massive interest in the ZSX, and we feel that this bike represents a big step with regards to the Lexmoto range. So we are writing this article to advise you about where this bike fits into the current UK market, and why it's a key component of our competitive strategy.

The Market Currently in the UK, the most successful 125cc models being sold are the Honda CBF 125 and Yamaha YBR 125. They are both commuter models based on offering basic design with a comfortable riding position and reliable performance for a good price. With that formula they have been able to dominate the 125cc market both selling over 2500 units per year. Many people often opt for the Japanese brands due to the reputations of the manufacturer, but few customers are actually aware that the CBF and YBR are actually from Thailand and China respectively. That's not a bad thing but if anything it does give us an advantage as we are no longer competing with Japanese products but instead puts us on an even playing field with the Japanese brands and their non Japanese products.

The Comparison - The criteria for the ZSX is based around the YBR and CBF specification. Simple twin shock rear suspension, rear drum brake and good road presence. We feel we were able to match the criteria to obtain the best reduced price without significant compromise.  Engine wise they are very similar, with the only difference being the presence of EFI systems on the Yamaha and Honda models. The option of EFI was available for the ZSX but to help keep cost down for the every day commuter it was decided not to use this, if demand requires this it will be available.  With the clocks both the CBF and YBR feature analogue clocks while the ZSX features a nice clear LCD display which we think goes in its favour. Price wise, with £1000 difference between the Lexmoto and the Honda/Yamaha models you've got a huge amount of difference, £1000 could be all the rider equipment and the big bike test fee and insurance! That can make a big difference!

The Summary We feel that the ZSX has comparable quality to the Japanese brands. The price is very competitive and already it is becoming a desirable model. MCN, MCM and Visordown are all following the model with great interest and are all completing reviews. Our aim is to make this model competitive with the YBR and CBF and so far we believe that we are.
